This landmark recognition reinforces ACHSI’s global leadership in quality improvement, patient safety, and excellence in healthcare delivery.
The Appraisal Council convened during September in Hanoi to review ACHSI’s proposal for recognition of its international standards. The Council overwhelmingly valued ACHSI’s approach, built on standards developed in Australia, the country ranked #1 globally for healthcare outcomes (The Commonwealth Fund 2025). ACHSI was also praised for its strong emphasis on continuous improvement and alignment with Vietnam’s strategic health goals, including Resolution No. 72-NQ/TW.
Representing ACHSI at the meeting, Louise Cuskelly, Executive Director of ACHSI, presented the organisation’s standards and certification outcomes in Vietnam. Ms Cuskelly was commended for her leadership and engagement with the Council. She also acknowledged the significant support and achievement of Hung Vuong Hospital, the first public hospital in Vietnam to achieve Accreditation to the ACHSI EQuIP7 standards in 2024.
