ACHSI EQuIP7 Residential and Home Care Standards were approved by International Society for Quality in Healthcare (ISQua) External Evaluation Association (IEEA) in June 2023.
We are thrilled to announce that the Australian Council on Healthcare Standards (ACHS) has achieved accreditation from the International Society for Quality in Healthcare (ISQua) External Evaluation Association (IEEA) for our EQuIP7 Residential and Home Care standards. These standards have been meticulously designed to cater to the distinctive requirements of organisations offering non-acute care services to individuals of all age groups.
This achievement was announced during the ISQua EEA 39th International Conference, held in Seoul from August 27th to August 30th this year. The conference, renowned for its gathering of healthcare leaders, innovators, and visionaries, was attended by Dr Karen Luxford, Group CEO ACHS and ACHS International, Ms Louise Cuskelly, Executive Director, ACHS International and Consulting and Ms Linda O’Connor, Executive Director ACHS National Business and Development, proud to be there for the announcement.
This accreditation is a testament to our commitment to delivering high-quality care and services to the community.
ISQua, the globally recognised accrediting body, sets rigorous standards for healthcare organisations around the world. Achieving accreditation from ISQua is a significant milestone that reflects an organisation's dedication to excellence in patient care and safety.
What sets ACHSI apart is not just our accreditation for EQuIP7 Residential and Home Care but also the ACHS’s triple accreditation by ISQua for our standards, surveyor training program, and organisational management. All our standards are developed using the ISQua International Principles for Health Care Standards.
To earn this prestigious recognition, organisations must meet stringent criteria. These criteria encompass various aspects of healthcare provision, including patient safety, clinical effectiveness, leadership and governance, and continuous improvement. ISQua assesses not only the policies and procedures in place but also the actual implementation of these standards in day-to-day operations.
This remarkable feat underscores our comprehensive commitment to quality improvement at every level of our operations and dedication to offering the highest levels of services to our member organisations
By achieving ISQua accreditation for EQuIP7 Residential and Home Care standards, ACHS demonstrates our unwavering dedication to providing the highest level of care to clients. It is not just a recognition of our current achievements but also a commitment to ongoing improvement and innovation in healthcare delivery.
The pursuit of ACHSI accreditation is a strategic choice for healthcare organisations aiming to strengthen their processes, systems, and functions, ultimately ensuring the provision of safe and high-quality care for their residents and clients. What sets the ACHSI program apart is its comprehensive coverage, embracing a wide spectrum of care options. This versatility makes it an invaluable asset for organisations operating in various settings, including residential facilities, assisted living environments, private homes, and other accommodations.
ACHSI takes immense pride in its collaborative efforts with residential care facilities spanning the globe. Residential care, as a concept, caters to individuals who, for various reasons, require specialised care on a 24/7 basis, offering them not just care but also the security and support they need.
The EQuIP7 Residential and Home Care standards represent a commitment to elevating the quality of care provided to vulnerable populations.
