Middle East Regional Director visits Australia
Middle East Regional Director, Mr Bassel El Sayegh, joins the whole team in Sydney on his inaugural visit to Australia.
Since joining ACHS International in 2020, Mr Bassel El Sayegh, who is based in our Dubai office, has been instrumental in expanding our reputation across the Middle East region and supporting our growing member organisations on their quality improvement journey. As a valued member of our team, we were thrilled to welcome Bassel to the Australian Council on Healthcare Standards office in Sydney. This visit marked a significant milestone in his journey with us.
Upon his arrival, Bassel was warmly welcomed by Mr Michael Roff, Chair of the ACHSI Board, along with other board members, Group CEO Dr Karen Luxford, Executive Director Ms Louise Cuskelly, executives, and staff. It was an exciting occasion as Bassel attended his first in-person board meeting, an important step in his engagement with the leadership team.

During his time in the beautiful harbour city of Sydney, Bassel had the opportunity to engage with the team and contribute to our Strategic Planning Day. His expertise and dedication were invaluable as he actively participated in discussions held at the board meeting. Furthermore, Bassel also had the privilege of meeting with Associate Professor Bernie Harrison, Director of the ACHS Improvement Academy to discuss future education and training for our Members. These initiatives will undoubtedly enhance the knowledge and skills of our Members and further promote best practices within your organisation.
Bassel has consistently received accolades from Members and Assessors for his unwavering commitment, vast knowledge, and unbridled passion in his role. He takes pride in sharing best practices and upholding the high standards set for our members.
