Sustainability at ACHS International: Building momentum through practical action

Since launching our sustainability strategy in 2024, we have continued to make progress, build momentum, and embed sustainability across ACHS International.

Sustainability at ACHS is being advanced through practical, continuous improvements in how we work, manage resources, and make day-to-day decisions. Over the past year, ACHS has progressed initiatives focused on environmental impact, consumables, energy use, measurement and embedding sustainability across the organisation.

A key initiative has been the launch of the ACHS Green Challenge, which encourages staff to participate as individuals or in teams and earn points for sustainability activities completed during work hours. Activities include reducing waste, using public transport, and lowering energy usage. The Green Challenge shows how small everyday actions can create meaningful collective impact.

Key initiatives delivered in 2025-26 include:

  • Environmental Impact and Emissions: Reducing the emissions impact of IT processes

  • Consumables: Supporting staff to responsibly dispose of difficult-to-recycle materials through available services.

  • Energy Consumption: Optimising  air-conditioning settings to balance energy efficiency and comfort

  • Embedding Sustainability: Including sustainability in the annual staff survey to strengthen organisational insight and reporting.

As ACHS continues its sustainability journey, these initiatives demonstrate our commitment to lasting change through practical action, staff engagement, and continuous improvement. Visit our website to learn more.
